Encourage missions awareness and participation, locally and abroad, across the TN District. Equip our missionaries with much needed supplies, linens, Christmas gifts and Missionary Kid gifts. Enable our churches to minister to and minister through their ladies while promoting a heart for the missions vision of their pastor.
Equipping Missionary Families with Supplies
Tennessee ladies give $2000 to each missionary family that is leaving so that they can use it to buy supplies for their families that cannot be purchased in their field. Shoes must be purchased for each family member for the next 4 years. Personal items, medications, contact lenses, glasses and toiletries must be purchased in advance because they are not available in many of the foreign fields.
Linen Gift Cards
We will bless missionary families with a $500 gift card that will help them purchase sheets, towels, blankets, and bedding for their family for the next 4 years. This is such a blessing to them because in foreign climates and in foreign water, linens wear out so quickly and replacements cannot be found on the foreign fields.
Monetary Christmas gifts to TN Missionaries
The One Heart World Fund will give $100 to Missionary families at Christmas. These families live on very fixed incomes and do not have extra to purchase gifts at Christmas for their families. We want to show our love by giving a little extra on such a special Holiday.
Gift Cards for Missionary Kids
When missionary kids return from the field to go to college, their family leaves them and returns to their foreign assignment. Because of the fixed income of their parents, many times the college student is on their own. The One heart world fund will provide a $300 gift card to missionary kids after they have started college to help with needs as they arise. We will be a friend to them while their family is away.
Missionaries are our heroes. They leave their homes, their comforts and their families to serve God in the most remote places of the world. They have to learn a new language, a new culture and a new life in the areas they have been called to serve.
It is our responsibility to make this transition as easy as possible for these individuals who have answered the call to go around the world to take Jesus to those who have not heard the good news.
We commit to send because we cannot go. We commit to pray because they need His protection. We commit to GIVE because they represent Him to the World.
